Sheep Brain Dissection

How to Build a Nervous System: Students will develop a concept of information flow from sensory input to motor output (e.g., seeing to motor action). They will learn about the building blocks of nervous system (namely neurons and glia and their main jobs) and learn basic facts about what makes a neuron a neuron.
Sheep Brain Dissection: Students will have an opportunity to dissect a real sheep brain with the guidance of MSU Neuroscience Program students and faculty. The session aims to help familiarize Brain Bee at MSU participants with basic neuroanatomy.
Only registered Brain Bee at MSU competitors can participate.

Weekend workshops are not required to particpate in the Brain Bee at MSU competiton. The competition will not test on material covered at the workshops.
The workshops have limited space, and registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Workshop registration links will be emailed to all registered Brain Bee at MSU particpants a week and a half prior to the workshop date.
